DARQ Transparent Aerogel Granules (AGT-90) are translucent silica (SiO₂) aerogel granules engineered to do what no conventional insulation can — let daylight through while blocking heat. With over 90% light transmission per cm and thermal conductivity below 0.018 W/m·K, these hydrophobic nanoporous granules — commonly known simply as aerogel granules — are the daylighting-grade alternative to imported translucent aerogel, now manufactured and supplied in India.
Product Overview
AGT-90 is produced by sol-gel processing with liquid-phase hydrophobic modification and supercritical CO₂ drying, giving a stable, water-repellent granule with a pore structure finer than the wavelength of light. That nanostructure is what lets the granules scatter light softly while suppressing conductive and convective heat transfer — delivering glare-free diffused daylight and superior thermal insulation in a single material. Granules are loose-filled into glass or polycarbonate cavities to create translucent, super-insulating daylighting elements. Explore our full aerogel insulation solutions in India.

Note on light transmission: the >90% figure is measured per cm of granule bed. A finished daylighting panel (granules filled into 16–25 mm polycarbonate or glass) delivers glare-free diffused daylight with a correspondingly lower whole-panel transmission, depending on cavity thickness — ask our team for panel-specific values.

Why Transparent Aerogel Granules?
Conventional insulation forces a choice: a wall blocks heat and light; a window lets both through. Transparent aerogel granules break that trade-off — they transmit soft, diffused daylight while insulating as well as a solid wall, cutting heating and cooling loads without going dark. Compared with plain double glazing, an aerogel-filled cavity sharply lowers U-value and kills condensation and noise. For architects and façade engineers, that means daylit interiors that still meet energy codes. For a non-transparent, coating-grade aerogel, see our DARQGel Aerogel Insulation Powder
